Leather Furniture Workshop Videos from Saxon Leather

As many of our customers don't get the opportunity to visit our workshop, we've filmed a series of short videos to allow you the opportunity to see our team of skilled craftsmen and women at work.

Inside Our Workshop (Short Version)

Filmed in our Lancashire workshop, this short video, gives you a brief glimpse of the main aspects of our Production processes.

Inside Our Workshop (Full Version)

Filmed in our Lancashire workshop, this video captures the many traditional processes and techniques that go into handcrafting our quality furniture.

Leather Cutting

Watch our team of cutters at work. Every hide we receive is painstakingly reviewed for natural marks and scarring before being cut by hand by one of our skilled cutting team.

Inside Our Sewing Department

Once our cutting team have finished hand cutting the hides for a customer's order, the individual pieces of leather are passed to our sewing team. In this short video, you will see one of our time served sewing team produce a seat cushion.

Traditional Upholstery

Watch one of our time served upholsterers at work. Though our upholsterer makes it look easy, don't be fooled! Deep buttoned upholstery is a particularly difficult skill to perfect.

Hand Studding

Watch one of our skilled team hand stud a line of antique studs on a Chesterfield sofa.

Whereas many companies will use strip studs on their furniture to save time and money, you can rest assured that every stud used on our furniture, is individually hand tacked in place.

Hand Antiquing

Hand Antiquing is the final stage of production for every piece of furniture that we upholster in an Antique effect leather. The dark top coat of the Antique effect leather is skilfully rubbed by hand to reveal the colour underneath. The end result is a beautiful two tone Antique finish.
